Leonard has successfully invested in and is highly familiar with residential real estate, farm and ranch, undeveloped land properties, and commercial real estate. He has been a successful investor in private early stage companies such as BabyCenter, the web’s top interactive parenting network now owned by Johnson & Johnson; NetSpend, a pioneering prepaid debit card company now owned by Western Union, and Taxa Outdoors, the leading maker of advanced mobile habitats, now owned by L Catterton. He is a current investor in BrainCheck, a medical diagnosis software maker; in Ambyint, an oil and gas technology concern; and in Noleus, a medical device company.

His family is a member of the Houston Zen Center and Congregation Shema Koleinu.  Leonard’s hobbies include guitar (he is a member of Houston’s Overcommitments), and private land restoration and conservation.

As a practicing Buddhist with a regular meditation practice since 2003, Leonard tries to bring compassion and wisdom to all beings everywhere, including, on a daily basis, in his advisory practice.
