We are all too familiar with the magnitude of need in times of disaster. Greater Houston Community Foundation has curated a list of several community foundations and nonprofit organizations leading relief and recovery efforts in communities impacted by the storm. These resources will offer the support needed in the coming days, months, and years to help our Gulf Coast neighbors recover.

Community Foundation of Collier County established the Collier Comes Together Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund. This fund benefits local nonprofit programs and relief efforts.
Community Foundation of Sarasota County established the Suncoast Disaster Recovery Fund. A $500,000 gift has already been contributed to this fund and has generously offered a 1:1 match of $750,000 for additional contributions.
Manatee Community Foundation established the MCF Disaster Relief Fund, in which funds will be used to make grants to local nonprofit organizations providing response and relief.
SBP (Formerly St. Bernard Project) - SBP provides immediate response and recovery efforts during times of disaster. Efforts include deploying assessment teams to areas of greatest need, deploying volunteers, widely distributing recovery resources, and partnering with local government leaders and nonprofit organizations to guide short- and long-term recovery efforts. Save the Children - Donations help deliver essential items including water, hygiene kits, diapers, and other life-saving supplies to those in need.
The Covenant House - Donations provide housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness.
United Way of Florida Disaster Recovery Fund - The UWOF Fund will assist impacted communities in Florida. 100% of all contributions will be used for recovery efforts; no administrative costs will be taken by United Way of Florida.
United Way Worldwide Disaster Response and Recovery Fund - United Way Worldwide created the United Way Disaster Response and Recovery Fund to help local United Ways meet communities’ immediate response and recovery needs in the wake of Hurricane Ian, along with long-term rebuilding, throughout the affected regions.
World Central Kitchen - World Central Kitchen (WCK) teams have mobilized across Florida providing meals for those impacted by Hurricane Ian. WCK connects with organizations on the ground and activates a network of local restaurants, food trucks, or emergency kitchens, serving comforting meals to survivors of disasters quickly and effectively.
