In the wake of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, heartbreaking scenes of people fleeing for their lives have been broadcast around the world. The threat of Taliban violence looms large, especially for Afghan allies, women, children, LGBTQIA+ people, activists, journalists, and aid workers.
